Trusting God Through the PhD Journey
“Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite.” – Psalm 147:5 (NKJV)
Studying for a PhD in Biblical Studies is a journey filled with both excitement and challenges. There are times when everything seems clear and you feel encouraged but there are also times of doubt, where questions seem unanswered, deadlines loom and the pressure builds. But through all of this, we’re never alone.
God is all-powerful - nothing is beyond His ability. The same God who created the universe is with us every step of the way.
He is all-knowing - even when we don’t have all the answers, He does. His wisdom is endless, guiding us through each challenge.
He is always present - no matter where we are, He is there, right beside us.
There’s no need to fear the unknown because we serve a God who is always faithful. As we trust in His goodness, lean on His wisdom and keep moving forward, He will lead us through this journey. The PhD is not just about gaining knowledge - it’s about drawing closer to God and being prepared for the work He has planned for us.
Lord, You are powerful, wise and always with us. Thank You for leading us in this journey of learning more about Your Word. When we feel unsure, help us to remember that You are in control. When things get tough, give us strength and help us trust in Your perfect plan. May our studies not only fill our minds but also change our hearts so we can serve You better. Keep guiding us, Lord and let everything we do bring glory to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
