Embracing the Kingdom of God
Scriptural Verse:
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
—Matthew 6:33 (ESV)
Reflection:
In the midst of life’s distractions, Jesus calls us to seek first the Kingdom of God. This isn’t just about the future promise of heaven, but about the way we live now - allowing God’s reign to guide our actions, decisions and relationships. Jesus’ contemporaries often emphasised the “Kingdom of God” as a future hope, while He focused on how that Kingdom impacts our present lives. As we align ourselves with God’s will and prioritise His Kingdom, we experience His peace, provision and guidance in our daily lives.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for the gift of Your Kingdom. Help me to seek Your reign in every area of my life - today, tomorrow and always. May Your righteousness shape my decisions and may Your love guide my interactions with others. Strengthen my faith as I trust in Your provision and the hope of Your eternal Kingdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
