Loving Jesus: The Heart of the Greatest Commandment
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” - Mark 12:30
Loving God is the foundation of our faith and Jesus, as one with the Father, is central to this love. Mark 12:30 calls us to a complete and holistic love for God - a love that engages every part of who we are. It’s not enough to feel love; we are called to express it in thought, emotion and action. Feddes’ challenge reminds us to evaluate how deeply our love for Jesus shapes our decisions, relationships, and daily lives. Genuine love for Jesus compels us to devotion, worship, and selfless acts that glorify Him.
Heavenly Father, thank You for revealing Your love through Jesus. Help me to love You with all my heart, soul, mind and strength. Teach me to respond to Jesus’ love with sincere devotion and obedient action. May my life be a reflection of Your grace and truth, and may others see Your love through me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
