God’s Mercy and Love for Mankind
Scriptural Verse: “But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)” – Ephesians 2:4-5 (KJV)
Explanation:
God’s mercy is not based on our worthiness but on His great love. Even when we were spiritually dead in sin, He made a way for us to be saved through Christ. His mercy is abundant, and His grace is freely given. This reminds us that salvation is not something we earn but a gift from God’s loving kindness.
Reflection:
God’s mercy is beyond human understanding. No matter how far we have strayed, His love reaches out to us. This should give us confidence in His forgiveness and encourage us to extend the same mercy to others. How do we respond to such love? Do we reflect His grace in our lives?
Prayer:
Merciful Lord, thank You for Your unfailing love and abundant mercy. Even when we fall short, You continue to draw us back with Your grace. Help us to live in gratitude, walking in Your ways and sharing Your love with others. Teach us to be merciful as You are merciful. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Amen. Our salvation was branded with mercy, by mercy, and for mercy 1 Peter 1:3 “According to his great mercy begat us again…”: I chose to live by and for his mercy always
