Greetings, everyone. I am Joseph S. Spence, Sr. I recently completed my master's in ministry and the grief counseling programs. I served twenty-six years in the United States Army with the worldwide rapid deployment force. In addition to my primary duties as an officer and commander, I performed additional duties as a eucharist minister on the weekend with protestant chaplains worldwide through the episcopal bishop of the U. S. Armed Forces.
It’s my pleasure to be here to study with you. I have attended various congregations in the military to know the soldiers in my command and their family members. Some names of churches I did not know until I became a commander in the army and went out to see soldiers and their families worshipping. I will never forget the experience.
