The Power of Christ-Centred Communication

Scriptural Verse: “Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.” — Colossians 4:6 (ESV)

Message:

Communication is a gift from God, meant to bring understanding, encouragement, and truth. As believers, our words should reflect Christ’s love and wisdom. Whether we are speaking to family, friends, or strangers, we are called to be gracious and intentional with our words. Just as salt enhances flavour and preserves food, our speech should uplift and edify others rather than tear them down. Miscommunication often arises from impatience, misunderstanding, or sin, but through prayer and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we can communicate in a way that honours God and strengthens relationships.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of communication. Help us to speak with wisdom, love, and grace, reflecting Your truth in all our conversations. Guard our tongues from hurtful words and teach us to listen with understanding. May our speech be seasoned with kindness and encouragement, bringing glory to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
