Walking Like Jesus in the Footsteps of Paul
Scriptural Verse:
“Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did.” — 1 John 2:6 (NIVUK)
Reflection:
Paul’s missionary journeys were not just about spreading the gospel but about learning to walk like Jesus. He faced hardships, persecution, and rejection, yet he remained faithful. In places like Lystra, he was stoned and left for dead, but he got up and continued preaching (Acts 14:19-20). His commitment shows us that walking like Jesus means perseverance, obedience, and trust in God’s plan.
Just as Paul was called to share Christ in a world of Roman power, Greek myths, and religious pluralism, we are called to stand firm in faith today. Even when facing trials, opposition, or discouragement, we can take heart - Jesus walked this path before us. If we suffer, it is because the Rabbi did (Luke 9:23). Let us be encouraged that our faithfulness will bear fruit, just as Paul’s did.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the example of Paul, who followed Jesus with unwavering faith. Help me to walk as Jesus did, enduring hardships with joy and faith. When trials come, give me the strength to persevere and the courage to share Your love with the world. Let my life be a testimony of Your power and grace, just as Paul’s was. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
