Professional Summary
Rev. Dr. Devin E. West is a pastor, scholar-practitioner, educator, and chaplain with a passion for developing transformational leaders for the Church and society. He currently serves as Senior Pastor of Zion Baptist Church in Lynn, Massachusetts, and teaches Biblical Counseling Foundations as an Adjunct Professor at Queens College of Theology. His ministry and academic
work bridge theology, leadership, pastoral care, organizational change, and the future of the Black Church.
Dr. West has served in pastoral ministry for nearly two decades and has extensive experience in higher education, hospital chaplaincy, leadership development, and community engagement. His research focuses on authentic leadership, church revitalization, and how Generation Z is reshaping Christian discipleship and evangelism within and beyond traditional church structures.
Through preaching, teaching, writing, and mentoring, he is committed to equipping leaders to
faithfully navigate the complexities of twenty-first-century ministry.
