Dr. Kassidy Westdyke

Kassidy M. Westdyke is an educator, school counselor, and academic professional with nearly two decades of experience supporting students, families, teachers, and school administrators. Her professional background encompasses classroom instruction, special education, student counseling, academic scheduling, conflict resolution, staff consultation, and educational program development.

Since 2023, Professor Westdyke has served as a guidance counselor at Pat Cheek Middle School, where she helps coordinate schedules for more than 900 students and contributes to the development of the school’s master schedule. Her responsibilities also include student and parent communication, peer-conflict resolution, staff consultation, student-data management, and the creation of ethical and educational training for parents and employees.

Professor Westdyke joined Queens College of Theology as an adjunct professor in 2026. She brings extensive classroom experience to her faculty role, having previously taught middle-school science, mathematics, social studies, and virtual education courses. Her earlier service as an elementary school counselor and special education aide further informs her student-centered approach to teaching and mentorship.

In addition to her work in public education, Professor Westdyke has served in Christian ministry as a children’s minister with Waters Edge Fellowship. She holds Texas certifications in generalist education for grades four through eight, special education, and school counseling, as well as certification in Mental Health First Aid.
