Have been looking for a while.

I am a father, deacon, teacher, and paramedic. My work schedule has made traditional biblical education difficult to obtain, and I have been searching for options. I needed something that could work with my hectic, which includes shift work and kid's actives.

Looking forward to getting into the work. The course outline looks great!

That's awesome!

Excited and thankful to be here

Greetings in Christ,

My name is Ivan Kavoleff and I am a newly enrolled student at Queens College of Theology in the Master of Ministry program. I am a bi-vocational professional servicing the church as well as have a career in financial services. In my ministry career I have served as a youth pastor, a teaching pastor, a Chaplain for emergency services as well as in Maritime Services.

Presently I am serving as Pastor of a church in New Jersey where I am blessed to have the privilege of tending a flock of a multi-aged population and have the goal of making the gospel relevant for all. I am very close with family and friends and enjoy being able to share the good news with them as well as provide opportunities for them to share in a community of faith. I am excited to be here at Queens and am…

Nice to meet you.

Keep Your Eyes on Jesus

Reading: Hebrews 12:1–3

Key Verse:

“Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus…” — Hebrews 12:1b–2a (Simplified from NIV)

Reflection:

Life is a race. Not a sprint, but a long journey filled with challenges, distractions, and moments of weariness. Sometimes you feel like giving up. But God tells us how to keep going: fix your eyes on Jesus.

When we focus on our problems, we get discouraged. When we focus on others, we compare and complain. But when we focus on Jesus—who endured the cross, who never gave up, who is always with us—we find strength, hope, and purpose.
