Queens College of Theology is entering a new season of growth and renewal. With the full approval of our Board, we are thrilled to announce a series of major improvements designed to strengthen our mission, enhance the student experience, and expand the reach of theological education for ministers and church leaders around the world.
These initiatives reflect our deep commitment to both academic excellence and Christ-centered service. Below are some of the exciting developments that are already underway:
1. A Brand-New Website Experience
We are making a capital investment in a completely redesigned website. Our current site has served us well, but we recognize it’s time for a modern, stable, and user-friendly platform that reflects the excellence of our programs and eliminates technical errors that have occasionally caused confusion.
2. A Comprehensive Knowledge Base
Students and prospective learners will soon have access to a knowledge base — a centralized hub where anyone can find answers about our programs, admissions, degree options, and student services with clarity and ease.
3. Online Ticket System for Student Services
We are developing a student support ticket system where you can track the status of admissions, transfer credit evaluations, advising requests, dissertation counsels and more. This ensures transparency and timely communication at every step of your journey.
4. Unifying Our Online Classroom Experience
All programs will soon be integrated into Populi, bringing every student into one online classroom system. This move will create stronger cohorts, improve community engagement, and simplify course access across all degree levels.
5. Expanding Our Master’s Curriculum
Thanks to the continued dedication of our volunteer faculty, we are expanding our Master’s-level curriculum to provide even more robust theological and ministry training opportunities.
6. Offering Class Audits
For the first time, students will be able to audit select classes, allowing for enrichment and lifelong learning without the pressure of grades or credit requirements.
7. Welcoming Transfer Credits for All Programs
We are now allowing credit transfers into all degree programs, including our tuition-free options—making theological education even more accessible and flexible.
8. Redeveloping the Tuition-Free Model
Our tuition-free program is being redeveloped to make all degree programs eligible for significant tuition discounts based on financial need, ensuring that cost is never a barrier to ministry preparation.
9. A New Donation System
A new online giving platform will make it easier than ever for our donors and partners to support the mission of Queens College of Theology and help us equip ministers worldwide.
10. Streamlined Diploma & Graduation Requests
We are creating simplified processes for diploma and graduation requests, ensuring every student’s accomplishments are celebrated promptly and properly.
11. Monthly Virtual Events
Starting soon, QCT will host monthly virtual events for both current and prospective students. These gatherings will provide updates, answer questions, and foster fellowship among our learning community.
12. Expanding Volunteer Opportunities
We are opening new volunteer positions in social media, student advising, teaching, and administrative support — giving our community the opportunity to serve the mission of QCT in practical ways.
13. New Doctor of Ministry Program
We are developing a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) degree, designed to equip pastors and ministry leaders with advanced skills in practical theology, leadership, and spiritual formation.
14. Redesigned Master of Ministry Program
Finally, our Master of Ministry program is being fully redesigned to reflect modern ministry challenges and to provide students with stronger theological and practical foundations for service.
15. Redesigned Cost Structure
Develop a tuition model that is paid monthly, versus per credit our paid all up front at each semester to give the student more accessible options and to not go into debt for Christian leadership education.
A Word from Leadership
“These improvements reflect our heart to continually grow, adapt, and serve with excellence. Queens College of Theology exists to equip the body of Christ, and these developments ensure that we are doing so with the best tools, systems, and programs available,”
— Office of the Chancellor
We are deeply grateful for the faithful prayers, generosity, and participation of our students, alumni, and supporters who make these exciting developments possible.
We will announce little by little when each item on our roadmap is available for all.
